In 2006, we developed the first one-man sawhorse for car trailers – out of a need to be able to work safely alone in the forest. No heavy machinery, no complicated systems – just a robust helper that simply works.
The first prototype was quickly developed. It was not tested in a laboratory, but with real people who otherwise had nothing to do with firewood – to put its operation and safety to the test. The result:
A sawhorse that is now in use thousands of times over.

LOGSAFE is a brand of WEDA – Mechanical Engineering since 1969.
What many people don't know is that behind our products is a Swabian family business with decades of experience in developing technical solutions. WEDA specializes in cutting systems, pneumatic controls, and customized special solutions in mechanical engineering.
Our factory in southern Germany is equipped with modern CAD technology, 3D printing, CNC manufacturing, and a team of true tinkerers. This expertise flows into every LOGSAFE product – from the initial design to the finished product.
About us
The LOGSAFE product range was developed in 2005 from initial trials with improved tarpaulins specially tailored to metre-long timber. Continuous further developments up to today's system improved the service life and multiple use extremely.
In 2006, we started developing the one-man sawhorse for car trailers. The aim was to find a simple, light and yet safe solution.
For the private wood buyer who is in the forest 2-5 times a year, possibly storing his wood away from home in the forest or in the meadow to dry. The first prototype was quickly ready for testing with uninvolved test subjects who were not involved in the firewood process. There were still some minor problems that could be solved with a few modifications.
Thus the probably safest sawhorse (test by Holzmacher magazine) was born. The very first visit to the trade fair showed a great deal of interest in this product. Several thousand sawhorses are still in use throughout the country today, making work easier day after day.
